Maggie P.

“After an injury 2 years ago that put me out of work and kept me from being active. I found myself 10 pounds heavier and without muscle tone. None of my clothes fit well and I did not like what I saw in the mirror. I had tried to create some type of exercise regiment but was unsure of what to do and how to avoid injury. Jake took the time to truly listen to my health background. Jake showed remarkable patience and commitment to establishing an initial workout that was safe yet targeted my core issues (basically every muscle group was weak!) but he asked for my input as to how each movement felt, and if I was feeling in any way that it would be unsafe Jake immediately modified or replaced it. Jake took baseline info as to my heart rate pre and post exertion as well as pictures and videos of me in certain poses or motions. Jake used personal time to create a detailed daily workout on paper that I could check off when done – which was something important to me. Jake updated exercises regularly and modeled proper form. Through it all Jake has been encouraging and empathetic as I try to reclaim my physical fitness and much needed self-motivation and self-confidence in my ability to make these changes. Thank you Jake! I highly recommend Jake as a personal trainer. His knowledge, commitment, and overwhelming positive attitude have been indispensable in my journey back to personal fitness.”

“Jake is a tremendous personal trainer.  I was nervous to start the training process but my nerves quickly dissipated once we got started.  He was easy to talk to about my personal goals and readily made a realistic plan to help me achieve them.  He uses a calm, friendly, non-judgmental approach to fitness and nutrition, and I saw results (loss of weight and increased muscle tone) in the first week!  Through his feedback, I improved my form and learned to maximize my use of the gym equipment in order to reach my goals.”
